I have never figured out, why people like to baffle their heads with puzzles. I always look at them from my bed as they struggle to remember the fifth digit after a comma from the constant or try to prove they can find regularity in numbers and images. And then they share these achievements on Facebook. I have other worries. I’m only counting fleas in the fur coat, though I could try to solve string theory with a little effort. But why would I do that?
Still, players will not just let you dissuade from solving different tasks, whether the red cat thinks, what it wants. For all the logic skills of a playful player, Brain Games has prepared four boxes full of delicious tasks. The same author is signed by Kristaps Auzáns, Reinis Petersons and Reinis Petersons will show the year 2014.
All boxes are tiny and each is sold separately. But even though they look very similar at first glance, they are in fact completely different. Everything starts with the simplest, green box. Just like the other boxes, this one contains over fifty cards, and each of them comes with a tricky task. There is only a folded list of rules inside, which allows players to clarify any discrepancies and uncertainties in the goal they are required to finish.
Different three difficulty features are marked on the cards with one, two or three bulbs. In addition, the tasks are numbered in order to give the researchers better insight and proceed from the simplest to the hardest.
You can also find a solution in the box. These are printed on the back of the rules and individual results are numbered up to 53 and therefore come for all cards available. Tasks in this children’s version are not overly difficult and correspond to the recommended age of six. Usually, it’s a simple combination or counts, nothing challenging. However, the difficulty increases with the procedure.
But when cards from the children’s version are not true challenge, it is time to open one of the pair of blue and yellow boxes. These are both recommended up to the age of twelve and offer free assignments – again 53 pieces. It all starts with a simple line of numbers, but it already gets hard near card number nine. Players must count, combine and look for patterns. Sometimes they will work with picture cards, but most often their competitors will be digits. Harder tasks include letters and some strange equations.
Cards now have up to five levels of difficulty. And those with four or five bulbs give the solvers a really hard time. All this is true for the yellow package (we have talked about his blue brother specifically).
The last box in the series is purple and is not just that common. Players are getting tasks with matches this time. They will move them and try to fulfill the goals. Unlike other sets of cards this time is the number of allowed moves is in the top right corner. Here a little box loses its variability because it’s still the same.
Since each card is different and the task is the same, some entries are not clear (even by rules) at first glance. Players have to think about what they want instead, instead of concentrating on finding answers. This is a major issue with Logic Cards in general. In every box, we found such a card with unclear goal.
The appeal of the game is enhanced by iOS and Android apps. Of course, its nothing breathtaking, it’s about 40 megabytes, but what’s more important – it’s available in more languages! To use it, you need to download the packages.
Why should you download this app at all? This is certainly not a bad idea. It is not just an extension that would only blindly and silly show pictures of the right answers. This program offers an expanded reality. When the camera is started, players will see their real card „scanned“ on the phone. The objects on it will animate towards the help and gradually to the solution. It looks absolutely beautiful, and this experience is one of the reasons why you should get this game!
All the boxes of tasks combine compact dimensions. This makes it possible to put several cards into your handbag and take your puzzles on the go. In this view, Logic Cards are great companions.
Logic Cards is an interesting card series to check the brain threads of players. It is not possible to compete, perhaps to search for a solution, measure time and compare it. But that is not a basic goal, because it’s all about finding answers. Addition of the correct number or symbol to the question mark is a challenge, that the logically focused players are sure to accept. And the overall impression of the game is enhanced by the additional application successfully.
Review: Logic Cards – thinking about cards
Logic Cards is a quality card series filled with logical puzzles. Each card equals to one task for the player. The solution is often not quite clear, but you can learn everything on a basic box for kids. Moreover, unfortunately, sometimes players do not know, what exactly is expected from them. Increasing skill will be tested by experienced solvers and everything is complemented by excellent mobile applications with expanded reality. It will transfer the cards to display of a mobile phone and they will come to life. Logic Cards is an interesting piece of work that forces you to think about the content.
